This photograph
was taken from a boat on the Nærøyfjord
which is the longest and deepest of the
fjords in Norway. The boat ride was part
of the Norway in a Nutshell tour that I
took in November of 2001 with friends from
university. During the two hour long cruise,
we saw little villages at the side of the
fjord and often reachable only by boat
due to the steep mountains that rose behind
them. What amazed about this photograph
was the glass-like surface of the water
which creates a perfect mirror image of
the quaint, little village.
